E85 has a pretty bad image in LA. "Rumors" say it isn't good for smaller engines and boat motors. Probably the biggest reason we don't have many stations. Being in bed with big oil doesn't hurt either.

I'm pretty sure my local small engine shop doesn't get a check from chevron or bp.
Alcohol is harder on the materials used for seals on older and smaller engines. Plus if it sits the water absorbed will accelerate corrosion leading to pitting in say carburetors.
( this is for e10 not sure what would happen to a lawnmower with e85 lol)
Run whatever you want but if it were my money I wouldn't use e anything if I knew my car sat for more than a few days/ maybe a week at a time.
