TPMS NOT lighting after winter tires installed

Hi friends,

Just wondering if someone could shed some light on this matter - got a set of winter tires installed today (X-ice 3's and 4x inexpensive alloys) and was expecting that since the tires do not have TPMS, that the light would go off.

To my surprise, I've been out driving for 30 mins or so and the light still hasn't come on. Has this happened to anyone else? Does it take a while before the car tries to ping the sensors to notice that they're not there anymore?

I know it wasn't an issue when I had the stock tires with the TPMS as I've had the light go off before.

Thanks in advance.
