You did the right think taking the video clip..have the service manager or adviser come out and listen to the sound when you get it in the service lane. Don't turn the vehicle off because they have to drive or warm the vehicle for 10 minutes to get the chirp to appear usually. What happens is,once you drop your car off...it sits in service car parking lot and cools off by the time they get to it. Once they pull it in...more times than not their is no chirp problem. I work at the dealer and our own shop foreman (head technician) is trying to deny them as well because I have found they are not listening to the TSB video clips to verify that the chirps are abnormal. It wont show on the TSB I posted (pretty sure it didnt) but there is a sound clip they can listen to and compare the chirp. I'm hearing he may even try to deny my own TSB pump when it arrives. Also for those of you who had pumps changed previously...something many don't know is that when your car comes back in for service for the same problem...they give it to the tech who ORIGINALLY did the work... these techs DON'T get paid for this and because they ALSO don't or may not notice a problem at the time they will send it back. Also the part itself is $1302 so they try not to warranty something that expensive if they cant/didnt find a problem.
