I played a tech a video on my phone I recorded one afternoon when it was chirping like crazy, but they still wouldn't do it.

Next time I get gas, I'm going to go to the gas station that's given me the most crickets, wait for it to get loud, then park in front of the dealership and run in screaming that I have a car emergency, to get someone out there to hear it.

I really don't get why having this shit done is like pulling teeth. Subaru has acknowledged the problem, issued a TSB. I've noticed the problem, recorded a video in which the crickets are clearly audible, and they've nicely told me to fuck off because "The tech thought it sounded fine". Bone stock drivetrain BTW, not even a drop-in filter or anything.
^Your dealer sux. Call SOA (1-800-SUBARU3 (1-800-782-2783)) and tell them your dealer is refusing you service, they'll set them straight.

Went to my dealer. "Tech came up and said, your car chirps." So I respond yeah, that's why I'm here," to which he replies "lets get that fixed."

Of course pump is on backorder because all of you beat me to it.
