Unless someone did it on the boat or dealer lot it was born with that defect.
When I went back to a stock manifold on my s2000 from ITB's I had to re wire the injectors and TPS. I'm fairly confident in my abilities to do so. So I have no reason to jerry rig the wires on a high pressure fuel sensor on a stock car.
