(Since our tanks are only 13 gals) I'm getting my car tuned next week and he said for safety if I wanted to run octane booster I should tune for 91 so the car isn't reliant on it. If I tune for 91 and run the torco would the ecu be able to calibrate for it? Or would I need to tune for around 100 oct? Thanks for any help, BTW going to be doing a road tune with BRZEdit. Car is still NA.
I'm sure tuner guys can help more here, but here is what I can share.
If you're tuned with 91 but your tank has 100 octane, your car will not perform fully using 100 octane. It'll still look for 91 octane, since it's tuned that way. Ask the tuner if he can give you 2 different maps; 91 and 100. You can run 91 on a regular day and swap it to 100 if you decide to use torco additive. However, never run 100 octane file with 91 fuel! Make sure your tank is filled properly before you change maps.
