Not all car paint is equal.. have you even used scratchX on the FRS before? The paint on the FRS is very thin and soft. It very well might have been my technique, but my scratchX application ended up with a visit to my detailer the next day.
How much detailing experience do you assume the OP has, or whether or not he'll use the proper quality materials for the application? Does he have opticoat or other paint protection? Because scratch X will mess that up big time...
I don't know how much attention to detail you have either with your paint, but I'm extremely OCD about mine (to the point where I check it in the glare or w/ a flashlight ALL the time) and I was very disappointed with my experience with scratch X.

"I followed the directions on the tube too the "T" including "let the product dry before removing excess with a separate 100 % cotton, terry cloth towel. (I used a microfiber polishing cloth). Well let me tell you, it was a son-of-a-gun to get off. I had to use a QD. I then applied Color X to the hood. Tonight I noticed that my whole darn hood is pretty well marred. Much worse than when I started.

However, under direct sun and halogen lights there is a noticeable haze filled with very fine and compacted swirls around the area I used the ScratchX.
I don't like the fact that I replaced the scratches with swirls. How do I go about removing the haze filled with swirls? It's driving me nuts!
