That's exactly where I go come April. lol.
I previously owned an R32 and there is a huge R32 (and now Golf R) gathering every April at the Dragon, "Wookies in the Woods". I've gone for the past two years and even though I've changed cars, a bunch of the guys I've become pretty good friends with insist I still go this year. lol. I wouldn't miss it for the world.
The event itself has opened itself up to GTI's, a few Audi S lines/tt's, Porsche's, etc. With that being said, I was tempted to ask a few local 86 buddies if they wanted to come up with as it drew closer. If you're free the first weekend of April 2014 and want to come up, drive some amazing roads and meet some of the coolest enthusiasts I know, well, let me know. Obviously not trying to crash their weekend with a ton of other 86's but bringing along a few buddies won't hurt. lol.
I'll be in North Georgia (are you familiar with Helen, GA?) come May for another euro show and there are some mountain roads up there we rip on every year as well.
Needless to say, I can't wait to drive those roads in this car.
I don't think there is an official 86 meet at the dragon that takes place, yet. I do remember reading about something like it in the Southeast section. Set something up, you never know. I cant guarantee I will be able to attend as I'm pretty much booked this coming year as far as trips go but have no problem giving you some help or if you want to kick some ideas around.
