in all honesty, go to an empty parking lot, pull up to a line where you think your nose is (try to get the nose right at the line). Get out, see where you are. Do this like 5-10 times if you need to. If you keep going over... then adjust to always stop before you think you are at the right spot...

First day I had my car I thought I was good and scraped a curb. Ever since I have stopped 6-12 inches short of where I "think" I am good... Our car is so damn short that you could stop 3 feet short of where a curb is and still be completely in a space.
