Might not be directly the same as your problem but I am getting tip in knock on my car, I can actually hear it clearly even though it just registers -1 on the logs. my iam is dropping because of it too... down to 0.5 last run. that's the only knock registered is the tip-in -1's. the previous tune had the advance table zeroed (in the lower load areas) so the iam would never go down because of it, a bandaid i guess.
