In addition to larger diameter, the pipes should be mandrel bent, increasing the internal volume through the curves in the pipe. The stock manifold is not mandrel bent, which is the main reason for why it's so restrictive.

If the thing rusts out and falls apart, supposedly there's a warranty. Also for the price, you could just buy a new one. My only real concern with that header would be the cat, who knows what that thing is made of? Haha
