I have the 2nd catback resonated, EU approved version which is almost a quarantee it would not be obnoxious or droning. Good. But at the same time apprehensive like you that I wouldn't hear the difference inside, kinda the point of this exercise.
The fist week I had it it was surprised at its heavy bassy voice and how loud and droning it was on full throttle even in low revs. I truly wondered how this got approved, but after a few days driving it started becoming quieter. Now a few weeks later, I can always hear the nice low rumble of the exhaust above the noises of the engine/intake at low revs without being loud, perfect for DD and much nicer than stock where basically the exhaust was not heard and the slightly thrashy engine was heard predominantly. At middle revs and full throttle it snarls nicely, and at high revs now the exhaust and intake/soundtube complement eachother nicely in concert.
Basically what a sportscar should sound like from factory.
PS: cold start is still pretty loud, a car standing next to me in an underground garage had its alarm go off when I started up mine...
