I used snowman snot ( dollar store gooey gum for post it notes on fridge )
built a dam and water channel (placement is obvious) dribble water and modify the snot so the water flows away from the top of the gasket.
Instantly removable always pliable - re-usable.
So far so good for me - waiting for more severe temp and humidity changes for the long term test - will try to post pics soon.

If I was you . I would go get a new one while you have warranty. Or you won't have any money to buy snot. When you don't have warranty to fall back on . Just saying.
