They are not maxxed out meaning they not at 90% or more duty cycle. Its dependent on the tuner. If the tuner uses the DI system, there is plenty of room. If the tuner relies much more on the PI, then yeah they will be a problem.
Having too big of injectors is also a problem. When they are too big and duty cycle falls too low, they start to be inconsistent (drivability issues might arise). I wouldn't go past 700 cc unless shooting for over 600 whp. Just my personal opinion.
Now when the choice is either 550 or 1K the choice is tough and I might be inclined to go with 1K.
