The crickets is due to poor fuel, we got 95 and 98, the americans have 89/91/93 (and the lovely E85)
And you do notice a small difference between 95 and 98.

yeah the windows squeeking is common for me 2 when it has been wet or early in the day from moist.. only on the driver side though i ocasionaly hear a rattle on my right door 2 but 99% i dont hear anything it's way quiter than my MR2 Spyder
americans say their 93/94 is the same as our 98 though isent it because we have no ethanol mixed in our fuel? you could say our fuel is more pure i guess.
