FA20Club Phoenix Dyno Day Results and Interviews

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7HjRadtXIg"]FA20Club Tuning Dialogs FR-S BRZ | Interviews and Testing - YouTube[/ame]

Arizona there land of heat where, Toni from FA20Club was flown-in to tune naturally aspirated, Innovate and Vortech Supercharged FR-S and BRZ. Fuel, tuning and heat clearly dictated the success of modifying this car.

We interview Toni the owner of FA20Club along with Vortech owner and Innovate Owners.

Traveling:

Traveling to Phoenix the Westin Hotel was top notch on the executive floor where I had men giving me personal massage.

Breakfast was amazing at from a Chicago based eatery named Province.
If you live in the area this place is the real deal.

After Breakfast I requested that my toilet paper be folded for maximum debris removal.

The Dyno Day

Marin @nelsmar had his shit together, this was the most organized dyno day I had seen to date at Goodspeed Performance in Scottsdale.

After watching and hearing stories it was clear the 91 Octane in AZ is bad for tuning. Toni's more aggressive style of tuning required more restraint and time to get right using 91. Once he got things dialed in, things started to run more smoothly.

If you are plan on running higher HP and timing advance you can forget the 91 in this region as you will be forced to run E85 for stability.

Dyno Plots:

Automatic Baseline Dyno:

Innovate 91 Octane

Innovate E85 Tune Larger In Tank Pump and Port Injectors:

Vortech E85 Tune with Smaller Pulley, Larger In Tank Pump and Port Injectors:

Conclusion:

After speaking to the shop owners, car owners and Toni I had a much better understanding of the things that worked on this car and many things that did not. Much of modifying modern cars comes down to tuning and trial and error.
