Well, the KBB on the car is around 43k, which is right around correct market value. He got it for considerably less than that, so it was definitely a steal. Especially considering the fact that the car is a 1 owner car. The original owner bought it in 1997 and then sold it in 2000 to the owner of a dealership network. He kept it registered as a dealer car and stored it in his showroom for 13 years, only taking it out occasionally in the Fall or late Spring to take it lunch or drive around town, etc. My friend bought it from this dealer and dealt with the owner directly and I'm not sure the owner really knew what it was worth... The Supra market his spiked in the last two years and cars are more valuable then they ever have been.
All in all, a good ass find! And I get to drive it all the time!
