Errr I said, tune for 87 and you'll be fine. It's pretty easy, just retard the cam, don't rev it, or pull timing at higher revs. Cam retarded to open at TDC should do the trick, Prius runs fine on 87 with PFI and 13:1 CR with a similar valve setting.
If it's tuned for 91, it will start knocking on 89.
