Actually, it wasn't a pos. They were very reliable and got what for an american car of the time was really good gas mileage. They handled like crap, but with the big engine bay, guys could swap all kinds of engines into them so they were surprisingly popular at drag strips. Light car + big engine = fun. Typical of that era though, the 304 V8 only made like 150 horsepower from the factory because of the new smog regulations.
