I wonder what the effects of a super late ignition value in a load ranges past normal operation would be. Probably something akin to some of the pseudo "anti-lag" systems. Lot's of noise and fire out the tailpipe. Either that or a misfire. Probably not too good for the turbo or o2 sensors. Maybe effective to reduce cylinder pressure during an overboost condition though? It would definitely get your attention. Realistically I would want a full fuel cut though.
