I strongly disagree. This automatic transmission is in fact exactly like any other, it's a little more aggressive than your average granny-mobile; but still predictable, comfy and safe.

But anyway, if the dealer says it's OK, it's OK! And your warranty is fine, you have shown prudence by visiting the dealer and if anything breaks down you'll be fine. So it's all good.

Now, I suggest you go out and get to know your car. It's like a little kitten, it likes to play and and it's spirited, but it won't hurt you if you're gentle and play nice.
Find an empty parking lot and try emergency stops, try flat out acceleration (for a short while, be safe), try hard turns and so on. Keep all the electronics ON and the Sport mode OFF, until your car does not surprise you at all any more, even if you slam the brakes while in a sharp turn. (low speed in an empty parking lot, of course.)

Personally, I am very emotional about my cars. All of them, even the crappy ones I've had. They become intimate friends, after a while. My GT86 and I spent at least 2000 km to get to that point.
