The 1101t has a built in battery for the factory key fob. You will have to solder the wires directly to the circuit board in the fob. The 1101t will only allow the key fob to be powered when remote started. There is a little more wiring you have to do to get it to work for take over mode. But once the door is unlocked with the aftermarket system you have 30-45 sec to hit brake for take over and it must see the second key fob or it will shut the car down. That is with the 5904 any way. The smart start may not work for take over if you are using a vss3000 or vss4000. You need 3 programmable aux outputs to get take over to work. I would recommend either the vss3001 or a 5 series viper system with add on smart start. I took very detailed notes while I was Installing it so if you have any questions feel free to ask.
