but today I had, again, such a bad experience, been beat up by another car at the freeway, and I am not talking about any Porsche, BMW, or any american muscle car... it was actually a four cylinder japanese car, that in respect to all of us, I am not going to say the model nor the brand, but the fact is that such a thing pissed me off.

I had spent already over 4k on my new car; Sparcco wheels, 225/45 R17 , Invidia Q300 exhaust, summer tires, lightweight pulley from Raceseng, a Takeda cold air intake, a Carbon Fiber Driveshaft, and a few other cosmetic stuff, like all LED bulbs, Toms taillights, etc...

The fact is, I can consider myself a proud owner of the very first car, with a front mounted Boxer engine, and RWD, that has the center of gravity lower than a Ferrari Italia, and now looks as gorgeous as an Aston Martin sportscar, but it still freaking super extremely slow, specially while in that nimble of power that happens in between 3k to 5k revs.

So, I am now asking myself, should I expend about 6k more in this car, to solve my issue with a turbo, or should I wait for the 2015/2016 mid-life refresh, with lots of speculation going on within the industry, on how they are going to bring this extra power; if from a displacement increase, to 2.5L from 2.0; if from force induction; or even a hybrid system to boost (I personally dont like this last option)?

What do you guys think? I am the only one dealing with this dilemma? I have my mind set in one thing, I would go back to Mercedes-Benz, for sure as soon as the CLA 45 AMG hit the US dealerships, I would trade my BRZ, if until then, the car was not able to bring the pleasure I expect from it.

Comments?
I don't see the issue with one 4 cylinder japanese car beating another 4 cylinder japanese car. I also don't think the 2015 refresh will be anything major like a turbo, hybrid, or an extra .5 liters.

This car wasn't designed to go fast in a straight line. Even if you got a turbo kit, it will still be slower than other cars on the road.

Have you tried taking it to a track or autocross? I think you might be really surprised with your times on a track with corners. I was beating corvettes last time I was at an autox.
