I made it a quick trip and didn't stop unless necessary. We ate near gas stations so it was just standard fast food fare. Helps to have someone with you to keep you company. My aunt is in town and actually volunteered to go with, so it was nice to catch up.

We came back via the 70 to 15 (through Vegas). CO is beautiful to drive through (west of Denver on the way to Grand Junction). There's quite a bit of snow up by the Eisenhower tunnel right now and it looks sick! UT is interesting, lot's of colorful rocks. Whereas CO is more lush and green in the higher elevation.

There were very few people on the highway so we were able to make good time. Left LA on a flight at 5:45am on Fri, got back with the car Saturday at 4:15pm. Then introduced the car to the Santa Monica mountains the next morning.
