First, I suggest you read the owners manual ..... then two weeks later, read the
whole manual (you'd be surprised how much information snuck in).
As far as "mods", the FR-S is pretty darn good right out of the box .... drive it for a while before you start messing with it.
Don't let the concrete parking stops sneak up on you.
