Additionally with an upgraded radiator and oil cooler you will help control the heat which will also help with longevity. As for WMI it never hearts to have a fail safe system in place if you are worried. You can also tune on e85 but due to the limited availability in the SoCal and unknowing of posable e85 stations during the trip it makes it hard to want to make the jump to e85.
I know Paul has been running the kit on his car for several thousand miles without WMI without any problems. But I'll let him provide more information.
