Not to hash the classification of cars again but I don't consider the Mustang or Camaro Muscle Cars. CTS-V and 300/Charger SRT8 (,Taurus SHO?) are the closest modern american interpretations. The Mercedes 65 AMG models are a probably the best modern example I can think of off hand. It was always the bigger the car the bigger the engine the better it personified muscle car.
I noticed the new GT500 has 650hp now, however I still "just" consider it a seriously hopped up pony car.
