HID for DRL? Isn't the DRL and High beam shared the same bulb (9005 HB3)? I believe the DRL consumes less voltage and may cause the HID to flash if I am doing this route.

I may consider using those regular Cree / Led bulbs as you suggested. I don't want to melt the headlamp housings.
