I've only done a few autocross events and have done tons and tons of reading (Still need to read tons and tons more). I've also taken an Evo class so i'm well on my way. I've also come to appreciate our Prius tires as they've really helped improve my driving but also a big weakness for our cars. I'm currently planning on buying some parts over winter in time for next season.
I'm looking for some feedback and have some questions on my planned setup. Please correct me if you see something terribly wrong!
-RS3s on some 17x8 wheels. On the Prius tires, I've been doing 35 psi front and 33 rear and they've felt very good, should I do the same with the new tires?
-RCE Springs with Koni struts/shocks. I'm thinking of setting the rear dampers softer than the front. Or partial stiff all around (one turn or so?).
-Crash bolts and maybe something for the rear too (probably an LCA). The springs will only lower the car 20mm, so maybe that is enough negative camber for the front? I still don't know what to do with rear camber.
-Sway bars: I already have some hotchkis adjustable front and rears. Fronts are on highest of two settings (630 lbs/in, 245 % Stiffer than Stock) and Rears are on lowest of 4 (320 lbs/in, 200 % Stiffer than Stock). Car feels pretty good and (from my newbie analysis) feels like I get less oversteer.
I'm also praying that Nameless doesn't release their headers until mid summer next year, or else my wallet ain't gonna be happy.
Is there anything i'm missing?
