He was referring to the Conti DWS, which is an all-season, just for clarification.

Michelins are expensive because they are the highest quality tires. Sounds like you've had a bad experience before, but I have worked with tires from an OEM vehicle manufacturer perspective and can tell you that Michelin provides the best quality tires, hands down. That said, have you had any experience with the Pilot Sport PS2 or it's replacement, the Pilot Super Sports? The PSS is truely an amazing performance package. It manages better dry and wet performance than the PS2, while increasing tire life by 30%. And the tire life on PS2's was already very good!
