You're right on the tires though, you NEED softer sidewalls and ideally a lot less air pressure than you'd run on the street. If I was serious about drag times I would run 15's in the back with proper drag radials. Tires meant for autox/lapping/time attack are way too stiff in the sidewall for a good drag launch.
I just want to do fun runs. Not to serious. I want to run with what I woukd be on the streets. So no drag tires for me. I want it as real as possible. Meaning im not gonna drive my car with lower air so ill be running on my stock 17s with 35 psi. Lol
