I think the car has great acceleration for daily driving on the street. Most city speed limits in my area are 25-35 mph, with some of the more main roads going up to 40-50 mph. The highway is 60-65 mph, with the interstate toll rod at 70 mph. I can barely redline the car as is without going way over the speed limit on most roads, and I can accelerate from a stop to well above highway speed limits before merging onto highways.
I can see how the car would be lacking in power on the track, especially compared to higher powered cars like Cayman's and Corvette's, but I don't understand the complaint with the power for street driving, unless you're street racing I guess (which I don't do anymore).
Even in stock form, I love the pull that the car has to redline in first gear

and I like being able to legally redline my car. Perfect balance between power and practicality IMO.
Now of course, after my warranty expires and I get sufficient experience tracking my car, I will be going turbocharged... but I'd swap to a low boost/no boost map for daily driving.
