You are correct, but I left it open with "typically". I've been conversing a lot with Joe, trying to get some Alcantara-only stuff wrapped in leather and some of it just does not work because of the way leather moves.
Most people are perfectly fine with Alcantara, but I'm really wanting to get rid of all the Alcantara already in the car. Fortunately it's just the seats, but unfortunately I have to get them completely redone and it's about $950 each seat to replace Alcantara with leather. I think it'll be worth it, but it's not a mod at the top of my list.
These knee pads are a must, though, no matter which material you choose. Cleans up the interior and saves some kneecaps in the process!
