I would not use dryer sheets.
you need to hydrate the carcus then they will pop off. wash that area first with a stream of water, rinse the whole car, and soap up, wash but don't do that section until after you rinse the whole car, then soap up that section of bugs and wash as norm. Most of the bugs should pop off during the first rinse section before you re soap again.
A good coat of sealant will help this whole thing out.
