I think I am considering this option, but a few things still don't quite feel right. First, given the rpm limitation of this system it will only be useful up to a certain cfm. My guess is that once you bolt this on there will be minimal gains from additional mods, such as headers and exhaust. People that have already invested in na mods that gave them 20% gains might only get a fraction of what is advertised for the ESC. Again, the reason being that unlike turbos and belt driven SC, this system has a static output.
Still seems like a great system for the person that is certain it will be their only mod.
The other thing I can't wrap my brain around is why turbos and SC systems have evolved to generate the power curves which are common today. It would be possible to engineer any FI system to offer the power in a similar distribution as the ESC. Seems to me that their are practical reasons for this, and over time the user of this system would discover them.
