I made a thread about resolving this issue awhile ago: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37040

I waited until the 2013 maps came out and literally just yesterday downloaded the maps and sent the receipt by e-mail to SOA for a refund. One big note: DO NOT E-MAIL THEM. Call someone. Talking to someone over the phone and being polite is much more likely to get you the results you are looking for.

Be insistent, buying a 2013 car with maps that are 2 years old is a ripoff. They should offer to reimburse you for a one-time map update.

Also, for some reason the Utah map wouldn't update, I'll try again later but Utah is one of 4 or 5 states I've never been to so it's not that upsetting. The way it updates the North America maps is state by state, which is actually pretty smart in my book.

I'd offer to rip and upload the maps but I wouldn't even know where to begin, and I wouldn't want to get on Subaru's bad side since they read this forum.

All of these nice amenities (keyless entry/start, auto climate control, autolink dimming mirror, heated seats) and I need to reach to adjust radio. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to sound like a priss but it is the only interior feature this car is missing. Every other car has these controls.
Eventually I'm looking at one of the control stalks that plug right into the factory radio for controls on the steering column. Since I have the push to start, mounting it where the keys would normally go looks like the best option.
