Call me crazy, but isn't this essentially the primary reason new vehicles come with a factory warranty? Seems pretty obvious, and although I can agree that experiencing mechanical issues with any new ride is a b**ch to deal with...but ranting on & on about Toyota's reliability and Toyota choosing to partner with Subaru etc etc is just pointless. Bottom line, any vehicle can have mechanical/cosmetic issues, no matter the make and/or model. Sure, some brands are known for reliability & quality, i.e. Toyota...but considering this is the first of its kind, common sense should hint that there CAN be glitches.
Like someone else mentioned in an earlier post, seems like this car didn't meet your standards/expectation and you probably should've just opted for a simple Honda Civic that could have been less of a headache. It really does suck you're experiencing these issues with your twin, but honestly, there are a number of options you can pursue if you're truly unhappy with your ride. And I digress...
