I was actually going to post this earlier. Lots of myths around MMO, but the one thing it does decently is act as an upper cylinder lubricant (UCL) when added to the fuel. It also lubricates the fuel pump. Its cheap too...

Personally I use Gumout Regane all-in-one, which has some UCL added to it. A couple ounces at each fill up. Once my stash is gone, I'll probably go to MMO for cost reasons.

As for two-stroke oil, make sure to use ashless, and keep the doses small. Its concentrated stuff, and too much over a prolonged period can pose a risk to emissions systems.
