After talking to salesmen it seems they either:
Take the job to make a few bucks until something better comes along (these guys are plentiful and just see you as an open wallet for fleecing knowing they'll be somewhere else in a year or two).
or
It's a long term career because they're either good at it (these guys are rare and understand customer service because they want you/family/friends coming back to them) or they're stuck in a rut old timers.
