The main point is, you won't have an cost-effective upgrade path to a turbo by putting a 2014 Forester Turbo motor in. The turbo assembly itself won't fit, so you'd be going with an aftermarket turbo kit anyways. The turbo long block would cost more than mildly beefing up the current motor with pistons/rods/bearings.

And the 2014 FA20DIT is new enough that we don't know if it can even take more power than the FA20 in the BRZ/FR-S. Too many possible issues, not many possible gains.
