.....Ok
A car CAN be hellaflush and still be functional. WingsofWar said it spot on. Far too many people are getting onicamber "VIP" style cars confused with the term hellaflush. Hellaflush does not mean the car has to be dropped to where you're tucking 2" of rim and running 3+degrees of camber front and rear....
I saw a question regarding movement of the wheels....Simple, when the rear end squats, the rear wheels camber in. Imagine this:
l <-fender
/ <-stretched sidewall of tire
^^Kinda ghetto but imagine as the wheel moves up, the wheel cambers in further and the stretched sidewall is allowing for extra clearance. When done right, you should have little to no rubbing on the fenders. Granted, hellaflush and super low ride height is not the way to be when you wanna be super competative. (Formula D-but FD sucks anyways)
What's funny is the people that try to shoot it down and hate and they have the most ridiculous examples as to why it's dumb. People talk about cut springs, cars that sit on the ground and run retarded camber.
See this car in real life and it is hellaflush. With 18x11 with 275/35 tires and no more than a degree of camber in the rear. Very competative still.
^^Another great example. Homie George Marstanovic back in AZ in this car. Took 3rd for the 2011 XDC series.
IT CAN BE DONE! You just have to do it right!
