Well in the car market they will never say "next year we are coming out with a better/more powerful/etc car because then folks would just wait for the next year to get it. So in this industry, what we have NOW is the "best" and that is the story they all stick by.

Well i wouldn't say never. It was apparent that Nissan was building a V-spec GTR shortly after the '08 rolled off the assembly line. Did people wait for the V-spec..yes...but ended up getting turned off by the huge extra premium and opted for the 09 models.
Zonda & Aston Martin sorta did the same thing claiming a "better" redesign is coming for the next Model years. But never really delivered any substance to it.
As far as Scion goes..Jack Hollis already has claimed a new model to come out every year for their FR-S production line. Does that translate to better models in the future? No! but it does suggest it.
Can we expect Subaru to follow suit? to keep ahead of FR-S/86 sales...more BRZ models are likely to appear in succession. But doesn't translate to more performance, unless the market demands it based on the first 2 years of sales which are projected to be BIG.
