If you like the auto, go for it! It's down to what you want from the car. I think the auto would be great for an all-rounder. Fun or boring when you want it to be.

I went with the MT because I've always wanted to try a manual, before manuals just disappear from the mainstream. It's definitely much more involving but can be a pain in traffic.

That said, the manual is very fun as every "simple" thing you do requires skill, which gives me satisfaction knowing I put effort into something and got something out of it. A simple rev-match down shift feels awesome when you nail it. Same with heel-and-toe, which I have yet to master.

Go with your gut. I don't think either way will make you love the car any less.
