lol, we are on the same page. I tried to make it as understandable as I could without inserting all the technicalities. You know there are other requirements for it to be classified as open source other than committing/pushing/checkin code to github, bitbucket, gerrit or whatever.
In any case, hope this will make you or anyone else feel better about the ill directed association of "open"flash to open source, no need to let it bug you or wave the open source nazi flag over this device:
