I said average performance cars; speaking of porsche, they spent the time to make a 7 spd MT, why? Because thats what paying customers wanted.

Lots and lots of people think that faster=better, but for many manual lovers that isnt true. The pressure of the clutch, the switch of the lever, and a blip of a throttle is something that millions cannot live without. Those who think MTs will disappear fail to see the economics behind offering the standard transmission.
