A hybrid system will add on some ugly pounds, might be torque-ishly awesome though.
A worked 2.5 could be fun for those that prefer NA. ~210hp/200tq?
Subaru of Japan's 2.0DIT is @ 295hp/295tq. That is, in my mind, subaru's next big move but they wont go there until they've upgraded the wrx/sti. (millions of subie owners can prove turbos are comparably reliable)
Rev happy H6's have been around for a long time now, if you cant think of any you probably dont know much about porsches. If you give up the arbitrary requirement of 'rev happy' you will find a hell of an engine in v6 mustangs. The other 'H' brand uses some v6's too. + Nissan's sports cars.
