Scion is obviously testing the water to see how much money they can squeeze out of the potential buyers for this car. It was SUPPOSED to be an affordable entry level sports car. If this was not their motivation for this exercise, they would already have a price set. Everyone thinks they're "winning an opportunity to buy the car" when in actuality, Scion is dangling this carrot in front of the buying public too see how many hoops we'll all jump through to buy it, then adjust the price accordingly...I wouldn't be surprised to see this car approach $26-27k when all is said and done...why would anyone want to "win a chance to buy a car"??? What a stupid idea unless you're buying a limited produced supercar like the GTR or LFA. but a Scion?? I know it's a rebadged Toyota but come on...this is ridiculous....I'll just wait a couple of years until all this bullshit is done and over with....then you'll be able to get a lease return or used one for less than $20k
