Fair enough. I just feel strongly that drinking and performance driving do not go together. I hope that if there is a drive the people who choose to attend will abstain or seriously watch what they drink at the event.
Personally, even if I have one beer, I'm then no longer in the correct state of mind for spirited driving. Again, just don't want anything to happen that could ruin the reputation of our NorCal 86 DRIVE group.
Sorry if I sound like a stuffy old man or buzzkill (no pun intended) but I truly think this is one case where it's better to be safe than sorry.
