Quite the opposite, I owned a used Tiburon for 2 years and quite liked it for sporty transportation. I test drove a 2010 2.0T GC back in 2009 while the Tib was being serviced, and have nothing but respect for Hyundai's first mass produced sports car.

I'm just trying to show that there are reasons to purchase a less powerful, smaller car for the same amount of money. The 86 and BRZ reviewers are praising things like the steering, responsiveness, agility and balance of this car. For some people those are more important than numbers, which is why some people are excited about this car.

But hey, once both released they can finally be compared in more areas than just numbers. I think if they are priced similarly there will be no clear winner in which car is the better buy and it will end up being up to the buyers bias.
