Yes, you have to cut open the backing to get to the bezels, interior of the lights. You can't bake the taillights like you can with the headlights because they are no rubber sealant holding the two plastics together.

Just be careful on the amount of moisture in the air during curing because pinholes can allow moisture to collect inside the lens. One time, I stored a pair in a box lined with kitty liter to help with the moisture because it had rained a few days during. (I don't have cats but kitty liter served the same purpose, and definitely cheaper).
